What is in the Amor Amor ® Ice Cream base?

Our signature ice cream is made with coconut fat, cane sugar , pea protein and a blend of organic, natural sweeteners.

 

Why Coconut?

Coconut is classified as a "functional food" because of its health benefits beyond its nutritional content. Coconuts are rich in vitamins, minerals, and medium-chain fatty acid, which possesses beneficial properties beyond that of other dietary fats and are extensively used in traditional medicine. Coconut has antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties, and its allergenic properties are lower than that of many other dairy substitutes. Coconuts are technically considered a tree nut, however, generally do not affect those with traditional tree nut allergies. 

 

Is Amor Amor ® ice cream vegan-friendly?

Yes. We are a completely plant-based company, and all of our products are free of dairy, egg, and animal-derived products.

Is Amor Amor ® ice cream organic?

We use organic ingredients wherever possible, but not all ingredients are certified organic. Amor Amor ® products are made from scratch using fresh, plant-based, minimally-processed ingredients. We use premium natural, local, and organic ingredients whenever possible.

 

Are all Amor Amor ® products dairy and lactose free?

All of our products, toppings, and condiments are non-dairy and lactose free.

Is Amor Amor ® Ice Cream Soy free?

All of our flavors are soya free, except for cookies & cream ice cream. Our menu changes regularly, but we keep our menu boards and ingredient lists up to date for reference.

Is Amor Amor ® Ice Cream gluten free?

Many of our ice creams and toppings are gluten free. We also carry gluten free cones and baked good options.

Is Amor Amor ® Ice Cream kosher?

Unfortunately, it is not fully kosher, however many of our ingredients are certified kosher. 

 

Does Amor Amor ® Ice Cream contain refined sugars?

The base of our signature hard ice creams contain limited refined sugars. Most are sweetened with a combination of unrefined organic cane sugar and maple syrup. Our inclusions are made from scratch using unrefined sweeteners whenever possible.

 

Where is Amor Amor ® ice cream made?

Our commissary kitchen is located in Al Gharafa, Qatar.

We started our Research & Development of Amor Amor ® Ice Cream in 2016, and opened our first online store in 2020.
